• What type of wax is used in the candles? 

Our candles are made from 100% soy wax blends.

  • Are the candles made with natural fragrances?

Our candles contain essential, organic & natural oils.

  • Are your candles vegan and cruelty free?

Yes, our candles are 100% vegan friendly and cruelty free.

  • Why is my candle releasing black soot? 

Soot is a natural occurrence for any candle. If your candle is continuously releasing soot, it can be the result of carbon build-up on the wicks, not trimming the wicks of the candle, over-burning the candle, or burning the candle in an area that is receiving a draft from a vent. We recommend trimming your candle’s wick to 1/4” before every single burn. This prevents the soot build up which could be a fire hazard. Also, make sure no wick trimmings are left in the candle.

Tip: If you are experiencing excess sooting, try trimming your wicks to 1/4’’ before each use, moving your candle to another location, or extinguishing your candle if it has been burning for more than 3-4 hours. 

  • What is the best way to extinguish my candle? 

We recommend gently blowing out the flame or using a wick snuffer. Never attempt to extinguish your candle using water. Never use the lid to extinguish your candle. Wait until the candle cools completely before handling. 

  • Why isn’t my candle releasing a strong fragrance? 

Fragrance is subjective, and some fragrances are stronger than others. Try to move the candle to another location. 

Rule of thumb: single wick candles for smaller rooms, double wick candles for medium sized rooms, and triple wick candles for larger rooms. 

  • Why is my candle tunneling? (Wax build up on the edges of the candle)

When a candle tunnels, it is likely that the candle has not been burning long enough for the wax to pool from edge to edge.

Tip: If the candle has begun to tunnel, burn the candle for 3-4 hours to allow the candle to self-correct. Continue to burn in 3-4-hour increments until the candle self- corrects. 

  • Do you ship internationally? 

Yes, we can ship all over the world. However, please keep in mind that international shipments are subject to high shipping costs. 

  • How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is free on all candle orders within the United States for our 1st year of business. If your order only includes sage & crystals you will have to cover the shipping costs. Effective July 1st, 2020. 

Affirmation Candles will no longer cover shipping costs effective March 1st, 2021. 

  • What do I do if my order arrived damaged? 

This rarely happens, but if it does, send us an email at info@affirmationxcandles.com within 48 hours of receiving your order. Include a photo of the damaged product and let us know if you are interested in a refund or a replacement. Please be very careful with broken glass.

  • Do you accept returns? 

Due to the nature of our products, used candles cannot be returned or refunded. However, please send us an email at info@affirmationxcandles.com if you think you have received a damaged or defective candle.

  • I put the incorrect address on my order and USPS stated the delivery failed. How can I receive my order?

Please email us at info@affirmationxcandles.com with your tracking number and name in the subject line and we will go from then. Additionally, please ensure that you are double checking your address when inputting an order.

  • Where are your candles poured?

Every candle is hand-poured in The Bronx, New York.
